Brian worked as a consulting engineer for about four years, during which time he gained experience in site work, water distribution, storm and sanitary sewers, detention ponds, and road construction. Brian subsequently worked for six years for the Oregon Department of Transportation. During his time with the DOT, Brian gained experience in road and highway design, construction inspection and management, bridge construction, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and design. Brian's primary duties include design, permitting, production of contract documents, drawings and reports, and construction oversight.
